Daily Draw for Thursday

Today I drew the two of Wands, the Queen of Cups, and the ten of Cups. Please click on the cards for a larger scan.

I was particularly surprised to note the return of the Queen of Cups today. She popped up just two days ago. In fact, I seem to be seeing a lot of cups cards lately.

The first card in the reading is the two of Wands, and I couldn’t help but think how sad this little fae looks. She obviously wants to jump up and fly, but she’s too scared. The Queen is looking into her cup and seeing the plight of the little fae, and you can see the concern on her face. She wants to use her magic to transform the situation on the two of wands into a situation like the one on the ten of Cups. Of course the Queen of Cups sees a Cups solution, which may not be entirely objective of her.

Am I afraid to fly? Maybe. The empathic part of myself wishes I could be happier and isn’t sure how to work that magic, at least not yet. I think now is a wonderful time to think seriously about how to transform my empty nest feelings into full cup feelings instead.

Daily Draw for Tuesday

Today’s daily draw was the ten of Cups, the Page of Pentacles, and the nine of Swords. Please click on the card images for a larger scan!

The ten of Cups is describing a peaceful, relaxing day, I think. My husband will be home late tonight, and we pick our son up tomorrow, so I have all day and evening to myself to do whatever I want. Sounds fun, no?

The Page is describing something that I will be doing today. I have work to finish, so I will be taking my computer to a local Starbucks. I think this card is describing my efforts to build up some spending money. I am also in the process of aquiring a rare deck, so this card might be describing that deck coming into my life. How exciting!

The nine of Swords is the fly in the ointment, I guess. Something in my life will cause me to doubt myself today. Actually, I am already feeling the stirrings of the thought “maybe I should just stay home”, since I have a small handful of things that I need to do today. I shuoldn’t let myself be trapped, though. It is one of my last days of total freedom for a while!

While I was shuffling, The Star also fell out. I guess she’s reminding me to let the peace soak in and to really enjoy the day and the mysteries that I have chosen to pursue. This is always a very happy card to me, so I’m glad to see it come up today.
