Daily Draw for Monday

Back to the Da Vinci Enigma for today. I’ve been off of it for a few days as things got hectic around home, but I have missed my cards, so I’m glad to have the time to get back to my daily readings. Today I drew the seven of Water (Cups) the Knight of Fire (Wands), and the four of Air (Swords). Click on the scan for a larger image.

2009 08-24 DailyThe seven of Water is an illusion done by Da Vinci, which shows a bat one way, and a dog the other. The card has a keyword: illusion. Am I deluding myself about something today? Well, there is a Tarot deck that I found for a great price, but it doesn’t ship to the US. I want to charge forward like the Knight of Fire, and find someone in a European country willing to play middle man, but perhaps now is a better time for Repose, a la the four of Air. Stop, rest, and rethink this, is what the cards are saying. Guess I will do.

Keep your eyes out tomorrow to win a copy of the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot or a reading with this deck soon! But if you just can’t wait, the Da Vinci Enigma is also available on Amazon. All items purchased through the links on this blog benefit Reading the Cards, so thank you!

Daily Draw for Monday

Today has been a very stressful day, which is why it is the afternoon and I am only just getting out my cards. I used the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot for the reading. Keep your eyes open, because if you like this deck, you could win it, or a reading with it! Details tomorrow!! Now, on with the reading. I drew the Lord of Earth, the Two of Air (Swords), and Imagination (Chariot). Click on the cards to see a larger scan.

2009 08-17 DailyThe Lord of Earth tells me about my role as master of the household finances, a job that I sort of stumbled on today. While sorting out the chaos, I was feeling very stressed out and unhappy. The Lord reminds me that I am the one in control, and as such it is up to me to calmly fix things and get on with life rather than freaking out unnecessarily.

The two of Air shows two riders on horseback. The card’s keyword is “respect”, and the book talks about seeing the other side of an issue, and two people putting aside conflict to work together, etc. I think I just need to respect this mistake as the small and annoying thing it is, and work with it as a learning experience instead of trying to bury it or forget about it.

The Imagination card tells me to let my creative side have some free reign here, and to allow myself to move forward past this mistake and find creative ways to fix it, which I have already worked on doing. It is a pain to have to deal with this kind of thing, but I believe it will prove useful to me in the end.

Daily Draw for Sunday

Today’s draw was nine of Earth (Pentacles), the Twins (the Lovers), and Pain and Pleasure (the Devil). Click on the scan for a larger image, and if you like the cards, keep you eyes peeled for a contest announcement soon, where you can win a free copy of the Da Vinci Enigma deck (or a free reading with the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot!)

2009 08-16 DailyThe reading for today is really straightforward and perfectly outlines what today is all about. First is the nine of Earth, which shows a beautiful couple of trees, their roots sunk deep into the Earth. It conveys the idea of sinking your own personal roots into the ground to create a strong foundation, just like yesterday’s foundation card. That is exactly what today is. I am haning out at home with my “roots”, my family, and doing the kinds of things that ground me, like crocheting and doing readings.

The Twins card represents twin destinies, just like two siblings might have a combined purpose in life, or lovers might conjoin their lives by intent. I will be spending the day doing things with my husband. 🙂

The final card is Pain and Pleasure, and I think it almost speaks for itself. I am trying to eat healthier right now, so I am getting the pain of avoiding some of my favorite (but oh-so-bad-for-me) treats, and the pleasure of feeling good about myself and just plain feeling good when I make good food choices. For example, I went to a very unhealthy restaurant for a birthday dinner last night, but chose a healthy fish dinner, and loved every bite I ate! It was terrific.

Daily Draw for Friday

Today’s daily draw is Death, four of Earth (Pentacles), and ten of Earth. Please click on the scan for a larger image. Also, there will be a giveaway soon featuring this deck! Come back soon or subscribe to the blog for further information.

2009 08-14 DailyDa Vinci was apparently not a fan of art and household decor featuring the suffering and crusifiction of Jesus, so this depiction of him with his crown of thorns is relatively rare. The card means deat, not as a final end, but as a means to reincarnation, rising, or a new life. I have a medical appointment today to see if I can get some prescriptions changed, and this card is showing me that it will indeed change things; I hope the changes are all for the better!

The four of Earth is a collection of sketches of the Last Supper and the Judas in their presence, the man who held the purse strings, and wanted even more. I think I can appreciate the warning in that: money is just a tool, not something to be coveted at great personal expense or for its own sake. I have been worried about money lately, but I think maybe I shouldn’t be.

Ten of Earth is an architectural sketch. The foundation of any great building must be able to bear the weight of the building above it. Likewise, the foundation of a life is what holds that life up and makes it real. My foundation is my family. We will be having a nice evening together after my appointment, and I think it is really important to continue, always, to nurture that.

Basic read today, but a nice one! Keep your eyes out to win a copy of the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot soon! But if you just can’t wait, the Da Vinci Enigma is also available on Amazon. All items purchased through the links on this blog benefit Reading the Cards, so thank you!
