Daily Draw for Tuesday

Today’s deck is less widely available in the States than most of the others that I have used. It is called the Lunatic Tarot, and it is from a Chinese artist. It has very nice cardstock and some images that are not for the faint of heart. Today’s draw is the ten of Pentacles, the seven of Cups, and the High Priestess. Click on the cards for a larger image.

2009 10-20 DailyThe ten of Pentacles immediately catches my eye because it is so different from the other two. It is rough and hard to read compared to the elegantly drawn cards from the rest of the reading. It makes me think that my ten of Pentacles state is sort of in a rough draft phase right now as well. I have this image in my head, but we’re not there yet.

The seven of Cups plays into this a little bit. The woman is standing among some huge cups. They seem to be almost crushing her, and she looks worried. Are they growing? Perhaps her dreams and fantasies are taking over much more of her life than she is comfortable with. If I want to get to my completed ten of Pentacles, I will probably have to stop the daydreaming and take a solid action.

The High Priestess looks rather rich herself, surrounded by the Pentacles on her mantle, there. She is femininity, self control, and wisdom embodied. As a majors card, she is also trying to show me something very important. Perhaps that I need to use my wisdom to choose my path to the ten?

Daily Draw for Wednesday

Today’s draw is the seven of Cups, the two of Cups, and the Wheel of Fortune.Click on the cards to see a larger scan of the reading.

2009 09-23 DailyThe seven of Cups usually comes up for me when I need to stop daydreaming, choose an area of focus, and just GO. In this case I think I am spending too much time working on my other projects (including both Tarot and crochet) and not enough time with the circus training that I love. It is a lot easier to sit on the couch with some yarn and some cards than to get up and move, but I need to!

Ah, but the two of cups, what a card of harmony, no? I don’t need to give up my other hobbies, I just need to find a balance. I need to be willing to spend time on all of the things I love when they will each benefit me most. I may be hanging out at a cafe with my yarn or my cards tonight, so I should get some stretching or some working out done today.

I like the Wheel of Fortune card. What goes up must come down, the whole world is a circle and things go in cycles. The Wheel reminds me of fate and destiny, and I know that my time is coming… I just have to be ready to enjoy it when it gets here.

The deck that I used today is the Mystic Dreamer Tarot. If you enjoy it, you may also like the Llewellyn Tarot. Both are available through Amazon, and any purchase made through the links on this page will benefit Reading the Cards, so thank you for your patronage!

Daily Draw for Monday

Back to the Da Vinci Enigma for today. I’ve been off of it for a few days as things got hectic around home, but I have missed my cards, so I’m glad to have the time to get back to my daily readings. Today I drew the seven of Water (Cups) the Knight of Fire (Wands), and the four of Air (Swords). Click on the scan for a larger image.

2009 08-24 DailyThe seven of Water is an illusion done by Da Vinci, which shows a bat one way, and a dog the other. The card has a keyword: illusion. Am I deluding myself about something today? Well, there is a Tarot deck that I found for a great price, but it doesn’t ship to the US. I want to charge forward like the Knight of Fire, and find someone in a European country willing to play middle man, but perhaps now is a better time for Repose, a la the four of Air. Stop, rest, and rethink this, is what the cards are saying. Guess I will do.

Keep your eyes out tomorrow to win a copy of the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot or a reading with this deck soon! But if you just can’t wait, the Da Vinci Enigma is also available on Amazon. All items purchased through the links on this blog benefit Reading the Cards, so thank you!
